NEW DISCOVERY OFFERS HOPE TO MESOTHELIOMA PATIENTS

According to the Asbestos Disease Research Institute, located in the Bernie Banton Center in Sydney, Australia, a new discovery that helps predict the growth of mesothelioma tumors will improve the treatment of mesothelioma patients.

Researchers at the Institute have discovered two specific white blood cells that indicate infection and inflammation are very accurate indicators of survival rates for mesothelioma.
Institute director Nico van Zandwijk says this test will allow for a better selection of treatments for mesothelioma patients.
